Emergency information

Diving has an emergency side, and Blue Trails keeps it where you can reach it without a signal hunt: two tabs under Settings → Emergency Contacts.

Where you're diving

Emergency hotlines

Search the country you're in and the app gives you the DAN emergency hotlines — with the language each line is answered in — plus the regional numbers.

Local emergency numbers

Underneath, the local numbers for police, fire and ambulance in that country. The numbers are one tap to call.

Check on arrival

Emergency numbers change. The app says it plainly: verify them with local authorities when you arrive at a new destination.

Your buddies' cards

Buddies

The Buddies tab lists the divers you're connected with, and tapping one opens their emergency card.

An emergency card

A card carries who to contact if that diver has an emergency, the phone number to call, and the important medical information they chose to share — blood type, and anything else they filled in.

Your own card

Yours is built from your profile and your medical questionnaire. Fill in your emergency contact so the people you dive with have it when it counts — that's the whole point of the feature.
