A tour of the app

Everything in Blue Trails hangs off five tabs at the bottom of the screen.

The five tabs

• Feed — what other divers are posting. See Feed.
• Discover — the map of dive sites, centers and activities, plus trip plans. See Discover.
• Logbook — your dives, your stats and your photos. See Logbook.
• Buddies — the divers you're connected to, invitations and chat. See Buddies.
• Me — your profile, certifications, equipment, achievements and settings. See Your profile.

Things that live in more than one place

• The + button (bottom right, on Feed and Logbook) starts something new: a post from the Feed, a dive from the Logbook.
• The QR icon (top left of your profile) shares your profile with the diver standing in front of you. See Share your profile.
• The gear icon (top right of your profile) opens Settings.
• The chat bubble (top right of Buddies) opens your conversations.

Light and dark

The app follows a dark mode switch you'll find in Settings → Account settings. On the Discover map there's also a sun/moon toggle that changes the map style without changing the rest of the app.
